Preparing to Write
Grasp the lower barrel and hold the pen so the clip end is resting on a hard surface. Gently press the barrel into the clip end and the pen tip will emerge with a subtle snap. Click to view video.

Closing The Pen
Grasp the lower barrel and hold the pen so the penpoint end is resting on a hard surface. Gently press the barrel downward and the pen tip will retract with a subtle snap. Click to view video.
- Grasp barrel and clip end, gently twist and pull apart; remove refill
Disassembling the Pen (to replace refill)
Grasp the barrel end in one hand and the clip end in the other. Gently twist and pull to separate. The refill will remain with the clip and, gently twist and pull to release. Click to view video.
- Slip refill into cap; slide barrel over refill, slot facing up; press to seat and push to close
Assembling the Pen (after replacing refill)
Grasp the refill by the pen point and gently, but firmly insert the open end into clip opening. Now slide the pen barrel over the refill and cradle the barrel in the curved clip opening with the slot side of the barrel facing up. Gently snap the barrel into position by squeezing between your thumb and forefinger. Finally, gently press the two ends together with a slight twisting motion. Click to view video.
